CauseTrail Refund & Cancellation Policy
Effective Date: September 18, 2026
Last Updated: September 23, 2026
CauseTrail is a website monitoring and intelligence service operated by AndyBZ Creative, a business registered in Florida, United States.
We want CauseTrail's subscription and billing policies to be straightforward and predictable.
This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to paid CauseTrail subscriptions.
1. Website Trials
The first website connected to an account receives a 30-day trial with no payment required. Trial use is not eligible for a refund because no payment is collected.
2. Paid Subscriptions
CauseTrail paid subscriptions are billed in advance for the applicable subscription period.
The current per-website price and included features are displayed on CauseTrail.io or within the CauseTrail application before purchase.
Paid subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless canceled before the applicable renewal.
Payments and recurring subscriptions are processed through Stripe.
3. Automatic Renewal
By purchasing a recurring CauseTrail subscription, you authorize CauseTrail and Stripe to charge your selected payment method at the beginning of each applicable billing period until you cancel the subscription.
Your subscription will continue renewing automatically unless canceled.
4. Cancellation
You may cancel a paid CauseTrail subscription at any time through the available CauseTrail billing settings or another cancellation method provided by CauseTrail.
Cancellation prevents future subscription renewals.
Canceling a subscription does not normally terminate paid access immediately.
Unless otherwise stated, you may continue using the monitoring for the websites included in your subscription through the end of the billing period already paid for.
You will not be charged for the following billing period after a cancellation has been successfully processed.
5. Refunds
CauseTrail subscription payments are generally non-refundable once the applicable billing period has begun.
CauseTrail does not normally provide prorated refunds or credits for:
- Unused subscription time
- Partially used billing periods
- Websites that were not connected
- Features that were available but not used
- Voluntary cancellation before the end of a paid billing period
However, we understand that mistakes and unusual circumstances can occur.
CauseTrail may provide a full or partial refund at its discretion in circumstances including:
- Duplicate charges
- Accidental subscription purchases
- Accidental renewals reported promptly
- Billing errors
- Significant service problems attributable to CauseTrail
- Other circumstances CauseTrail determines reasonably warrant a refund
Nothing in this policy limits refund, cancellation, or consumer rights that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.
6. Requesting a Refund
To request a refund, contact:
[email protected] Please include:
- The email address associated with your CauseTrail account
- The approximate date of the charge
- The amount charged, if known
- A brief explanation of the reason for the request
CauseTrail will review reasonable refund requests individually.
Submission of a refund request does not guarantee that a refund will be approved.
7. Approved Refunds
Approved refunds will generally be issued through Stripe to the original payment method where possible.
After CauseTrail initiates a refund, the time required for funds to appear may depend on:
- Stripe
- Your financial institution
- Card network
- Payment method
CauseTrail does not control financial-institution processing times after a refund has been submitted.
8. Monitoring Following Cancellation
When a paid subscription ends, monitoring for paid websites pauses. Existing websites and their data are not intentionally deleted immediately solely because monitoring ends.
You may resume monitoring by activating a new subscription. Normal data-retention practices continue to apply.
9. Data Following Cancellation
Canceling a paid subscription does not necessarily cause immediate deletion of your CauseTrail account or website monitoring data.
CauseTrail generally retains monitoring and diagnostic data for up to 60 days, subject to the CauseTrail Privacy Policy.
Users who wish to request deletion of their account or associated personal information may contact:
Certain information may remain temporarily in backups or be retained where reasonably necessary for billing, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, legal compliance, or other legitimate purposes described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Failed Payments
If a recurring subscription payment fails, CauseTrail or Stripe may attempt to process the payment again.
CauseTrail may notify you and provide an opportunity to update your payment information.
If payment cannot be successfully processed, monitoring for affected websites may be paused until payment is resolved.
Existing monitoring data will be handled according to CauseTrail's applicable data-retention policies.
11. Changes to Pricing
CauseTrail may change subscription pricing as the Service develops.
Pricing changes will not retroactively alter charges for billing periods already paid.
Where required or appropriate, CauseTrail will provide advance notice before new pricing applies to an existing recurring subscription.
12. Changes to This Policy
CauseTrail may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy as its subscription offerings develop.
The "Last Updated" date indicates the most recent version.
Material changes affecting existing paid subscriptions may be communicated through CauseTrail, by email, or through another reasonable method.
